Delegate Visit – Journal and Editorial Discussion

Dr. Riffat Mehboob (Director, Lahore Research Medical Center), Khurram Mehboob (Director, Lahore Research Medical Center) paid an official visit to the Institute of Public Health (IPH), Lahore. A pleasure meeting with Prof. Dr. Saira Afzal, Dean, Institute of Public Health, and her team. The visit was aimed at strengthening academic collaboration and enhancing the quality of scholarly publishing. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the policies and regulatory frameworks of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) concerning academic journals. Key areas of focus included journal accreditation criteria, editorial standards, peer-review processes, publication ethics, and compliance with national and international indexing requirements. The session provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, alignment of best practices, and strategic planning to further improve the standards and visibility of academic journals affiliated with public health and medical sciences.
