LMRC Collaboration with SESAME Jordan: Advancing Breast Cancer Imaging

Lahore Medical Research Center (LMRC) successfully collaborated with SESAME Jordan, the Middle East's premier synchrotron facility, conducting work at the BEATS beamline. The project, "Assessment of Diagnostic Accuracy of Breast Cancer Tissue Imaging Using Phase Contrast Synchrotron X-Ray Micro-Tomography with Histopathology as the Gold Standard in Pakistani Patients," utilized high-resolution, 3D imaging of breast cancer tissues, a technique entirely new to Pakistan. Mr. Akash John, Senior Research Officer at LMRC, gained hands-on experience at SESAME, contributing to this important collaborative research. This initiative highlights LMRC's commitment to advancing innovative research and fostering international scientific partnerships.
